Facility audits are used to ensure all aspects of the operation are looked at daily. Facility audits include Safety issues, Quality issues, Operational issues, AAR rule compliance, Customer rule compliance, Company rule compliances as well as other issues that we feel need to be monitored and addressed so that our facilities continue to operate in a Safe and Quality driven manner.Quality TrainingThird Party Professional TrainingEmployees and Staff are professionally trained by leading railroad industry personnel in the Safe and Quality driven methods to perform each job function. Training includes both classroom and on-the-job training and is held at every facility. AAR / Railinc training conducted for employees and staff within 90 days of new facility take-over. Training is conducted by various methods including classroom training, on-the-job training and by use of posted reminders and bulletins. Third party professional training is conducted by AAR / Railinc as well as other outside training providers. Supervisors and staff are trained in the same rules and procedures as the employees, as well as Reasonable Suspicion, Inbound / Outbound Inspections and Damage Investigations. Safety and Quality Training includes the use of multiple visual aids and reminders in various formats and locations, including employee common areas and in the facility. Training reviews are used to ensure all employees and staff understand the rules and procedures in which they've been trained. Training is documented and tracked via training matrix.
